The Master Cleanse - The 3 Golden Rules

There's nothing worse than jumping right into the Master Cleanse without being prepared for what you'll experience. If you aren't prepared, you'll most likely fail. Most people will start it thinking that it will be easy, but it won't be.

The Master Cleanse will make you feel hungry, achey, and irritable. Most people cannot finish their time on the Master Cleanse because of hunger. Only drinking fluids is more challenging than people tend to believe. If you can stick it out, the cravings for solid foods will dissipate after a few days.

Golden Rule Number 1: Just make it past the 3rd day. Don't look at the whole 10 days because it will seem too intimidating. Just focus yourself on getting past the 3rd day. If you break the Master Cleanse down into smaller segments, it's much easier to achieve success.

Golden Rule Number 2: Know how to handle the aches and pains. Be prepared for them, because most people will experience headaches on the Master Cleanse.

You can greatly help reduce aches by drinking a lot of water. Also, you should plan a more relaxing 10 days when you are doing the Master Cleanse. It's not a good idea to push yourself too hard during it. Your body goes through an intense cleansing process during the Master Cleanse, and it may not be able to recover quickly from exercise during this time.

Golden Rule Number 3: Be aware of your mood and irritability. This will affect those around you more than yourself, but it's best to have a plan in place to keep yourself in a mellow mood.

When you're starting the Master Cleanse, let the people around you know what you'll be doing. This way, they can be more accomodating when you're going through it. Also, plan to do the Master Cleanse during times of low stress.
